Grooved 90-degree elbow

The precautions for installing stainless steel grooved 90-degree elbows are as follows:

1. Preparations before installation

Tool inspection ‌ : ensure that the grooving machine, pipe cutting machine, level, vernier caliper and other tools are in good condition.

Material preparation ‌ : pipe, clamp, rubber sealing ring, lubricant (soapy water or detergent).

Installation steps

Check the groove ‌ : Use a vernier caliper to confirm that the pipe groove complies with the CJ/T156-2001 standard and that the clamp model matches.

Apply lubricant ‌ : Apply lubricant evenly on the rubber sealing ring and check for no damage.

Install the sealing ring ‌ : put the sealing ring on one end of the pipe, position it, and then put it on the other end.

Straighten the pipe ‌ : Adjust the central axis of the pipe to ensure it is level.

Install the clamp ‌ : Insert the inner edge of the clamp into the center of the groove and tighten the bolts alternately evenly.

Inspect the sealing ring ‌ : visually inspect the sealing ring during installation to prevent wrinkling.

Groove depth ‌ : the error shall not exceed 1.5mm. Exceeding the limit is strictly prohibited.

Operation safety ‌ : Do not touch the pipe or the pressure wheel area with your hands when grooving.

Tool matching ‌ : Select matching pressure wheels for different pipe diameters.
