Internal thread flange

Structure and working principle:

The typical structure of an internally threaded flange involves precision machining of the flange inner hole into pipe threads that comply with specific standards (such as GB, DIN, and ASME standards). During installation, the pipeline with external threads is screwed into the internal threads of the flange, forming a mechanical connection through thread engagement. It is then mated with other flanges using gaskets and bolts to achieve sealing. The flange neck often adopts a conical design to enhance the strength of thread engagement.

Main technical parameters:

Size and pressure range: The nominal diameter typically ranges from DN15 to DN500, with pressure ratings up to PN6.0 to 40MPa. When the nominal diameter exceeds DN500, the difficulty in controlling thread machining accuracy increases, necessitating special locking measures. ‌

Material: Commonly used materials include 304 and 316 stainless steel, carbon steel, chromium-molybdenum steel, etc. ‌

Sealing surface type: It mainly adopts two types: raised face (RF) or flat face (FF).
